Travel and Tourism students learnt personal sea survival skills with the Maritime Skills Academy, that will aid them with their career progression after completing their course.

Our Business students helped to organise and set up a Careers Fair using skills they have learnt on the course.
Social Action Projects
We support the local community through social action projects.
Our Business department collected over 100 boxes of cereal as part of their Social Action project, donating them to the All Saints Church community larder to help people in the local area.

“Since leaving college, I have started working for TUI, where I am a full-time retail travel advisor. I really enjoyed my time at EKC Canterbury College studying Travel and Tourism and I made some amazing memories which I will never forget. I was able to understand and gain knowledge in all parts of the travel industry and being able to achieve D*DD at the end of my course was the most surreal feeling, which I am beyond proud of myself for.

Travel students reach for the skies with world-class training

Travel and Tourism have reached for the skies by taking part in cabin crew training at British Airways' Global Learning Academy.
“The units that we learn on our course are very varied which I really like, for example air cabin, cruises, tourism and different cultures around the world. We have a lot of practical activities and get to do an industry placement to put our skills to practice in the workplace. I loved going to British Airways and getting to do cabin training in their facilities. I would like to go into Event Management in the future.”
