My Experience

Ruby, Level 3 Extended Diploma in Travel and Tourism

“Since leaving college, I have started working for TUI, where I am a full-time retail travel advisor. I really enjoyed my time at EKC Canterbury College studying Travel and Tourism and I made some amazing memories which I will never forget. I was able to understand and gain knowledge in all parts of the travel industry and being able to achieve D*DD at the end of my course was the most surreal feeling, which I am beyond proud of myself for.

This course has led me to where I am today and I’m already working in my dream job when I only finished College less than a year ago. Having this diploma has given me the ‘stepping stone’ for my career and I look forward to where my life takes me.”

Travel students reach for the skies with world-class training

Travel and Tourism have reached for the skies by taking part in cabin crew training at British Airways' Global Learning Academy.
Business Student Emily Butler

“The units that we learn on our course are very varied which I really like, for example air cabin, cruises, tourism and different cultures around the world. We have a lot of practical activities and get to do an industry placement to put our skills to practice in the workplace. I loved going to British Airways and getting to do cabin training in their facilities. I would like to go into Event Management in the future.”

Emily
Level 3 Travel and Tourism

“It’s great to be able to learn in such a welcoming and friendly environment and my tutors make learning fun. We have lots of practical lessons, and I have developed my business knowledge, especially in my industry placement where I worked at a local employer and improved my customer service and sales skills.”

Nathan
T Level Management and Administration

“I did my work experience with Kent Cricket which I really enjoyed. I’m moving in to my second year of my T Level in September which is really exciting. Once I have finished this, I want to get an Apprenticeship so that I can continue to get more skills and earn money.

“If you are thinking of doing a T Level, don’t worry! You will be able to do it and you will meet some people along the way that will be able to help you”
