Travel to College

Discover how to get to EKC Canterbury College and the support available to travel to College.

Our College is only a five-minute walk from the city centre and is well connected to surrounding towns and villages across East Kent. It has great cycling, bus and train routes and is served by regular Park and Ride services.

Travelling by Car?

We are situated close to Canterbury city centre.

To find us, follow the city ring road until you reach St George’s roundabout (by the Odeon cinema), turn onto St George’s Place.

To visit our Canterbury site – Carry on to New Dover Road and turn left into Canterbury College.

To visit our Spring Lane site – Turn left at the junction (by Waitrose), follow the road to the roundabout and take the second exit, continue past the University and turn right onto Spring Lane.

There is no parking onsite but a Park & Ride service operates from the top of New Dover Road. Alternatively, find out where you can park in Canterbury.

Travelling by Bus?

Our New Dover Road campus are within a five-minute walk from Canterbury bus station. When you leave the bus station, head straight up New Dover Road and turn left at our campus sign.

Bus services from Folkestone and Dover, and the Park and Ride service, stop right outside the College entrance.

Travelling by Train?

Our closest train station is Canterbury East, which is a 15 minute walk away. Turn right as you leave the station and go up the main road, then turn right onto New Dover Road until you see our campus sign.

If you are coming from Canterbury West, this is a 25 minute walk through the city centre.
