Showcase your talent

You will have the opportunity to take part in live events throughout the year and perform for our student community, external guests and the general public. From gigs at local bars and performing at our annual Bit Crush Festival, you will get to showcase your talent, produce your own shows and learn about the music industry.

Students also take part in voluntary performance projects as part of the College pledge to serve the local community. This can include supporting local community events, and performing in our Inclusive Learning café space.

Showstopping performances

Students get chances all year round to perform for our student community, staff, external guests and the general public.

Examples include on-site live music performances at venues across Canterbury and stage shows held in our Lanfranc Theatre, or in collaboration with The Marlowe Theatre.

Behind the Scenes of a 'Countdown to Christmas'

Level 3 Christmas Show

Our incredible Level 3 Dance and Performing Arts students recently took to the stage in the The Lanfranc Theatre with their Christmas show.

This exclusive look behind the scenes highlights the hard work, rehearsals, and talent that brought this show to life. The Dance and Performing Arts students wowed their audiences with the 25 act show encompassing all forms of Performing Arts.

Students gain four-star review for Camp Phoenix performance

Level 3 Acting students recently took to the stage with renowned production company, Zest Theatre at the Gulkbenian Theatre.

Having been involved since the shows inception, the students were able to see how theatre is created and experience working with a professional company within the industry.

“My favourite part of college has been the freedom that it’s given me. To express what I can want to do and to have that freedom as a drama student to pursue what I like.

“I get lots of support from my dance tutors, because they see what I need to improve during my lessons which has been really helpful.”

Wow audiences at competitions

You can take part in national and international competitions to showcase your talent.

Students are encouraged to enter the annual KFE4Skills Competition. This year Ava achieved gold in Musical Theatre for her rendition of ‘As Long as He Needs Me’ and Nellie earned silver in Acting.
