Inclusive Learning

Providing personalised education and support to students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Learn in a supportive environment

We’re committed to providing an appropriate level of support for your young person. We’ll draw information from their Education, Health and Care Plan, and other sources, to ensure the necessary support is put in place.

This is a personalised approach to learning, preparing your young person for adulthood.

Students are taught in small class sizes by tutors experienced in special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Develop core skills

Students are supported to experience college life whilst building confidence and developing communication, independence and life skills.

Our varied timetable teaches students a range of skills including art and catering.

We have a wide range of facilities to help students develop life skills and support them with their studies.

These include:

  • Training kitchens
  • Independent living learning flat with bedroom and lounge
  • Commercial training café
  • Welfare rooms
  • Sensory room
  • Ceramics and art room
  • Student hub

Trips, Events and Social Action

Take part in trips

Our students go on trips to Canterbury city centre, local towns, the coast and local attractions such as Wildwood Kent.

Participate in events

Students have the opportunity to participate in events such as the End of Year show, Easter parade and garden party festival, where they can help to run stalls, make savoury and sweet treats, and create arts and crafts.

Give back to the community

Students take part in social action projects to support the local community. These activities can include beach cleans, gardening and conservation work, donating to food banks and community projects with Canterbury City Council.
