• Plant propagation

• Plant pruning

• Garden features

• Turf establishment and maintenance

You will develop practical horticultural skills alongside a strong understanding of how plants are grown, maintained and managed in a variety of settings.

Learning takes place with a combination of practical work and applied tasks, helping you build confidence in using tools, equipment and horticultural techniques safely and effectively.

You will also have access to our Spring Lane Campus, including greenhouse facilities, where you can put your skills into practice in a realistic horticultural environment.

As an EKC Canterbury College student, you will also have the opportunity to take part in skills competitions such as KFE4Skills, allowing you to challenge yourself, build confidence and showcase your abilities against others in the sector.
