Course overview

This new course has been designed and written in conjunction with academics
and employers in the visual arts. It blends and develops emerging artists and
designers’ own practice to equip them with the skills necessary to work
professionally in the visual arts in a wide range of careers. Through a
combination of theoretical development, continuing professional practice and
valuable vocational experiences, it will deliver innovative, distinctive and
exciting projects in businesses and places of work individualised to the learner
that prepares emerging professionals to confidently meet the demands of the
visual art market.

Course information

The programme employs a range of teaching and learning methods that are
strategically deployed to provide students with a rich and varied range of
learning experiences. The programme promotes both independent and collaborative
work with an emphasis of engaging directly with and in a range of workplaces to
give the learner a broad range of experiences which will naturally narrow down
