Level 3 results day took place at EKC Canterbury College, with learners celebrating their achievements and hard work across a range of courses, including T Level results.
Students arrived at College early to find out their results, joined by their proud lecturers and support team who were offering advice on their next steps.
Principal of EKC Canterbury College, Emily Johnson, said: “”We are incredibly proud of all our students today at EKC Canterbury College, including our T Level students, who have achieved outstanding results. It’s heartening to see so many of them already on their way to exciting future destinations. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off, and we can’t wait to see what they accomplish next.”
Emily Williams, a standout student in Theatrical, Special Effects, Hair, and Makeup, received a distinction.
She shared her excitement, saying: “I’m so excited to start my journey at the University of Arts Bournemouth, where I’ll be studying a foundation in Art.
I can’t wait to specialise in theatrical makeup after my foundation year, where I’m hopefully going to work more on horror and SFX-style makeup. I’m driving down to Bournemouth straight after results to get signed up for a house to start my first year.”
Emily’s advice to new students is: “Jump straight into College life. It’s the best way to make the most of your experience. I’ve changed so much from the shy student I once was. This journey has helped me grow and develop in ways I never imagined.”
Nathan Gosden completed his Management and Administration T Level with enthusiasm for his industry placement at Kent County Council.
Nathan said: “T Levels were a lot of fun. The experience pushed me out of my comfort zone, encouraged me to be curious, and ask lots of questions. Thanks to my placements, I’ve become so much more confident, and now I’m ready to take the next step and pursue Law at the University of Kent.”
Among those celebrating their results, Lexi Cosier, who is in her first year of her Management and Administration T Level received her first year results, expressed how challenging she initially found her studies. However, with the support of friends and tutors, she now finds the material more accessible: “I am a lot more confident since starting at College, I have a lot of friends too,” Lexi said, adding that she aspires to work in Social Media and Digital Marketing.
T Level Accounting and Finance learner, Connor Kerwin has already secured a position as an Accounts Assistant with an automotive company. His industry placement offered him an opportunity to support events management, which he found highly rewarding.
Reflecting on his time at college, Connor noted: “I came to College from a small specialist school, where there were only five students in a class. I am now more comfortable and confident in larger groups and enjoy helping people. I feel like I have learnt a lot of skills that will make me ready for work.”
We would like to congratulate all our students on their fantastic achievements and wish them every success for the future.
