Celebrating Level 3 Results Day success at EKC Canterbury College.
An air of nervous excitement filled the College today, as students came to collect their long-awaited Level 3 results.
Results Day is a proud moment for the College, as we celebrate the achievements of our students completing T Level programmes and other Level 3 qualifications.

Principal of EKC Canterbury College, Emily Johnson, commented: “I’m incredibly proud of all of our students and the exceptional results they have received today.
“These outcomes are a true reflection of their resilience and dedication towards their studies, supported every step of the way by our outstanding staff.
“It’s been a privilege to watch them grow and succeed; it’s truly inspiring. I wish each and every one of them the very best as they embark on the next exciting chapter of their journey.”

For many learners, they are already looking forward to their future and are now taking their next step into a world they’ve planned for throughout their College journey.
We caught up with some of our students to congratulate them on their success and to find out where they are heading next.
Jensen Perry studied the T Level Design in Architecture, Surveying, Estimating and Project Management and achieved a Distinction.
Speaking about his journey at College, Jensen said the support he received from his tutors played a key role in his success.
“I struggled quite a bit in GCSEs, so came to College and got them before doing a Construction course. I was then approached by a tutor to do a T Level course. It was all about project management, and I excelled at it and really enjoyed it.
“The course led me to do work experience with Jenner Group, which is a construction company, and from that point, they offered me a Site Trainee position. They’ve been fantastic and have really helped me along the way.”
Thanks to the fantastic impression Jensen has made, Jenner is proud to be sponsoring his university degree. This means Jensen will be studying at Oxford Brookes University next year and working for Jenner during the holidays.
Jensen’s advice to new students is: “If you’re doing a T Level, don’t take it for granted.”

Chloe Wilkinson is also celebrating after getting a Distinction in Art and Design.
She is now set to study Creative Arts Practice at Bath Spa University.
“I’ve always just really loved art. It’s always been my favourite. So it just kind of felt right to do that,” she said.
“It’s been really, really helpful. I mean, there’s been lots of support with the course, and information about universities as well, moving forward.”
“My favourite thing has been all the opportunities – especially for art, there’s just been so many workshops, so many different things you can learn from, and I think the facilities here are also really good as well.”

Christina Ames-O’Regan studied a T Level in Health and also achieved a Distinction.
She said she chose to study the T Level because it offered a hands-on experience.
“The College has definitely helped me prepare for my next step,” she explained.
“You get to learn things you wouldn’t necessarily learn in another course because it’s hands-on, both in the work placement and at College.
“College offers a lot of flexibility, and you can balance College life with home life. I’d say to anyone considering College, just go for it.”
At the moment, Christina works as a Care Assistant at a large care home in Whitstable.
She added: “I really enjoy working there. We care for a wide range of people with different needs. It’s a fantastic experience and there’s lots of training available.
“Now that I’ve achieved a Distinction, I can study an NVQ with support from my employer.
“In the future, I hope to go to University to study Paramedic Science.”

Today also marks EKC Canterbury College Sixth Form’s second results day and has seen a variety of students come in to collect their results.
Achieving three A grades in her A Levels, Anestasia Lordachi is going to the University of York to study Law.
“I did an internship for one year in a law firm in London. I absolutely loved it, because we worked in family cases, housing cases, and I decided that that’s what I want to do long term,” she said.
“I had incredibly helpful teachers. Honestly, they were very helpful with all resources.”
When asked was advice she would give, Anestasia said: “Do not be afraid to ask questions. I asked a thousand questions during my lessons, and they were always there to help you and support you, which is amazing.”

Another A Level student celebrating was Sophie Gilmartin, who rated her time at College a ’10 out of 10′.
After studying Sociology, Psychology and Criminology, she will now be going to Canterbury Christ Church University to study Social Science.
“I really enjoyed the flexibility of A Levels at College,” she said.
“I did four days a week and a flexible timetable. You need to be self-motivated, but it prepares you better for university, I think, compared to a traditional setting.
“My teachers were just the best people, and I couldn’t have done it without them. I’d give my college experience a 10 out of 10. I think it’s so inclusive and supportive. If you need anything extra, they’re there for you all the time, and I would highly recommend it.”

Emre Fahri is also celebrating after getting a place at the University of Sussex to study Psychology.
Emre, who got an A in Psychology A Level, said: “A Levels at College was a really good experience, because of not only the aspects of academic learning, but also meeting new people and making new friends.
“It also prepares you well for university and is a lot more relaxed than I think a school would be. I think I was a lot less stressed than I would have been at a traditional sixth form. It was really good to study here.”

We would like to congratulate all our students on their outstanding achievements and wish them every success for their future endeavours.
