Level 3 Diploma in Early Years

You will be assessed by your tutor and assessor using a range of methods?including?direct observation in the workplace, an e-portfolio of evidence, written assignments and tasks. To gain this qualification,?you will need to pass all units, complete a longitudinal study and show competence in a real work environment.

Upon achievement of this qualification, you will be able progress onto further study or enter the workforce as an Early Years Educator in various job roles such as:

• Assistant in Children’s Centres
• Practitioner in nursery schools
• Practitioner in reception classes in primary schools
• Pre-school worker

The course is one year and requires you to attend college for two hours a week.?

You will be expected to complete work at home (a commitment of three hours per week) via an e-portfolio, and in the work setting. Attendance at an assessment day is required, and the date and time will be given at interview.

Access to a computer and the internet is essential, and students will need a DBS and?a letter of confirmation from your arranged work setting confirming that you are working or volunteering for at least 12 hours a week.
