Level 2 Diploma in Performing Arts

Assessment is based on your performances and written work throughout the year. Criteria includes body language, voice skills, professionalism and production skills. You will also be able to reflect on your own practice and agree your own targets for development.

Once you finish your course, you will be ready to start in an entry-level position in the performing arts industry. You can also go onto further study in this area with a specialism of your choice, such as a Level 3 qualification, or an Apprenticeship.

There are no fees for this course if you are under 18.

You will have the opportunity to design and develop your own drama workshops for students within the College, as well as schools in the local area. Visiting local theatres and seeing professional performances is also a big part of our trips, designed to help you see and reflect on your own work.

Dedicated Work Experience opportunities are supported by our Industry Liaison Officer, who finds opportunities that are right for you. These give you key experiences ready for your future.

We also benefit our community by taking part in social action projects which help with development and skill progression, as well as making a difference locally.

As English and Maths are key in the course, you can study these at an appropriate level for you alongside your Performing Arts studies.
