Level 2 Diploma in Countryside and Horticulture

Assessment is coursework based, and this consists of practical observations, reports, presentations, and group tasks.

This course is aimed at developing your academic skills alongside your scientific knowledge. You will be supported to enter employment after successful completion of the qualification.

There are no fees for this course if you are under 18.

All learners on this programme are expected to undertake work experience in the land-based industry. Learners will be given the opportunity to do this in either a block placement per year, or as a one-day-per-week placements.

Visits are arranged to zoos, parks and local businesses to expand your knowledge of the sector.

You will be required to wear PPE for practical activities. Information about purchasing these items will be given at enrolment.
