Level 2 Certificate in Computing

You will be assessed by your coursework, which is through written assignments and observed practical work. There are also two controlled exams. Students are expected to spend additional independent study hours on research and homework to successfully complete this programme.

You can progress onto further study, such as a Level 3 course in a computing area or start your career in an entry level job in the industry.

There are no fees for this course if you are under 18.

Dedicated Work Experience opportunities will be supported by our Industry Liaison Officer, who will find opportunities that are right for you. These will give you key experiences ready for your future.

Throughout your studies, you will also take part in a variety on internal and external events, such as our annual BitCrush festival, where your Computing projects help to raise money for a local charity.

We also benefit our community by taking part in social action projects which help with development and skill progression, as well as making a difference locally.

As English and Maths are a key part of the course, you can learn these to GCSE or Functional Skills level alongside your studies.
