For more than 15 years, Roxan has worked across the arts education field as a Creative Learning Project Manager and an Applied Theatre Facilitator, specialising in working with young people and those with additional needs.

Before Joining The Marlowe Theatre as Director of Learning and Participation, Roxan was at Talawa Theatre Company, the UK’s leading Black British theatre company, where she was Community Engagement Producer, responsible for producing Talawa’s outreach and engagement activities – broadening and developing participation in the company’s education and artist development initiatives, working locally with the community from their Croydon base as well as nationally with partner organisations.

Roxan started her career as a theatre facilitator and project coordinator working for a wide range of organisations such as Halfmoon Theatre, London Bubble, Polka theatre and The Roundhouse Trust. She developed her passion for producing projects, shows, and festivals with emerging artists while working at Hoxton Hall, The Ambassadors Theatre Group, Kiln Theatre and Boundless Theatre.

Roxan was very proud to be the Artistic Director and CEO of the East End Shed, an inclusive theatre company for young people, for over 3 years; having previously worked for Haringey Shed and Peckham Shed.

Working inclusively and providing access to the arts continues to be at the core of all her work.
