Andrew Heap

Andrew is now the Group Head of Student Experience at East Kent Colleges Group.
Previously, he was Head of Student Support at EKC Canterbury College since January 2021. He led a team that including Careers Advice and Guidance, the Bursary team and the LRC as well as all key support services.
He has worked abroad for languages schools, for a major retailer in Finance and Project management and as an Offender Manager for the Probation Service.
Andrew has over 15 Years’ experience in, Secondary, Further and Higher education at an SLT & CMT level.
He is passionate about efficiency of process and empowering staff to make good decisions to enhance the Learner journey, ensuring students remain front and centre of all we deliver providing them with the tools needed to secure successful learning outcomes.
As a member of the Canterbury LCB, Andrew will ensure that views of students and staff are heard most especially around how we can further and innovatively support positive outcomes for our student population.
