Course overview

This short beginner’s course is aimed to give you the sewing techniques and confidence to sew your own clothes on add individuality to a garment. Led by Gemma Vincent, a seamstress with 14 years’ experience in TV, film, West End and fashion.

Course information

Through this course, you will learn how to:

  • Take professional measurements
  • Flat draft patterns
  • Cut out and fit a garment
  • Basic sewing machine skills
  • Finishing techniques

      • Guidance on techniques and machinery will be given throughout.
