Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture

You are assessed through a combination of coursework and exams. You will also do reports, essays, projects, scientific investigations and practical observation assignments.

This course will provide you with the technical skills and knowledge to enter the Land-Based sector upon completion or will enable you to progress on to higher education courses such as a Higher National Diploma or bachelor’s degrees.

There are no fees for this course if you are under 18.

You will be expected to undertake 300 hours of work experience over the two-year programme.

Our departmental Industry Liaison Officer can support you in sourcing a suitable placement that links to your future career aspirations.

You will be required to wear PPE for practical activities. Information about purchasing these items will be given at enrolment.
