Supporting Teaching & Learning Intermediate Apprenticeship Level 2

This qualification will enable learners to develop the knowledge and skills needed when supporting teaching and learning in primary, secondary or special schools.

What will I learn?

The course covers a wide range of areas including children and young people's development, supporting those with disabilities or special educational needs and communication and professional relationships.

How will I be assessed?

You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.

What may it lead to?

Advanced Level 3 Apprenticeship or direct employment, including roles such as:

  • Teaching Assistant
  • Learning Support Assistant
  • Special Educational Needs Assistant

Entry Requirements

You will need to be employed in a school and have GCSEs in English and Maths grade D or above.
