Who we work with

Social Action

Students visited Palm Bay Primary School to read to groups of primary school pupils. The Performing Arts students read Ted Hughes' ‘The Iron Man’ to the children in small groups. The activity allowed College students to practice sight reading but was also designed to inspire young readers.

“We wanted to do something that gives back to the community and we felt that an important topic is literacy for young people. With everything being digital these days, it is nice to encourage the children to read a book. It has been lovely working with them as they seemed really interested, even those who had already read the book!” Leanne Woolley, Drama Level 3
