Engineering Extended Diploma Level 3

This IMechE accredited course is a mix of practical and theory work, with the emphasis on product design and development. It provides a foundation across many areas of engineering.

What will I learn?

This course covers mechanical and electrical engineering, workplace practices, engineering information, mechanical technology, electronic circuitry and computer-aided design. You will also cover employability skills and personal development. The course has a strong academic element as one of the main progression paths upon successful completion is university.

How will I be assessed?

You will complete a personal portfolio, undertake online tests and carry out observed tasks, along with developing an extended project throughout the year.

What may it lead to?

You can progress into Higher Education, such as university, paid employment or Apprenticeships.
