Catering & Hospitality

Introduction

The Catering & Hospitality Department is home to our fine dining training restaurant and art cafe The Beretun. As a student you will prepare, cook and serve different types of meals in the restaurant, as well as host theme evenings for private and public customers allowing you to gain valuable experience of working in the kitchen and waiting on customers, you will also learn types of street food from around the world making use of different ingredients. You will work with local restaurants and hotels, applying your skills to the 'real world'. You will also cater for large scale events such as the Canterbury Food & Drink Festival. Our staff have a wealth of experience within the hospitality industry. Some have owned their own restaurants and business around the world. This means they can give professional insight into what it takes to succeed in the world of catering and hospitality.
