Digital SLR Photography Level 2

This course will teach you the basic concepts of digital photography. You will learn in a relaxed and professional atmosphere, and have access to industry-standard Mac suites (and more).

What will I learn?

You will learn: how to create basic sepia and black & white photographs; photographic composition; light and exposure. how to turn digital photos into convincing pieces of art; how to use a camera on manual settings (manual focus and zoom, shutter speed, aperture and ISO); and will experiment with basic fundamentals of photography such as light painting. Depending on the speed and interest of the class, you will also learn; white balance; composition; lens types and using Flash Studio.

How will I be assessed?

There is no final assessment for this course, but students will receive a College 'Certificate of Attendance' upon completion.

What may it lead to?

Students can progress onto other part-time courses at Canterbury College.

Payment for the course will be taken when you register, so please have payment details available when you call the College. Courses run from 18:30 until 20:30 on a Tuesday for 5 weeks. The cost for this course is £95.
