The International Office at Canterbury College is happy to help all International students find accommodation in advance of their arrival in the UK. We offer a choice of Home Stay accommodation or Private Rented accommodation. Please complete the International Student Accommodation Form and return it to international@canterburycollege.ac.uk
Note: Our International Office can also assist Home students to find accommodation for a small administration fee of £37.50. Please complete and return the Home Student Accommodation Form and return it to international@canterburycollege.ac.uk
Home Stay
We work with a large number of hosts in Canterbury and the surrounding areas, who offer accommodation within their private homes to international students. You will have your own room within the house, and will be offered some meals and access to the main areas of their home. All bills, excluding telephone, will be included in the weekly rate payable directly to your hosts. Hosts welcome students into their homes not only for the financial benefit, but also because it broadens their experience and is often the start of great friendships.
This type of accommodation is good for students new to the UK because it provides home comforts, a family atmosphere, a chance to practice their English, and generally to learn about life in Britain. Some students opt to start off in home stay accommodation while they settle into UK life, before moving on to find their own accommodation with their friends in shared accommodation. Homes can be available for a short or long stay.

PRICES: Home Stay Accommodation
Students pay their host families £120 per week.
This is to include, bed, breakfast and evening meal for the entire duration of the students stay. Full board is to be provided at weekends, and during the holiday periods.
Canterbury College offers host family accommodation in Canterbury, Thanet, Herne Bay, Whitstable and Sandwich. To apply for assistance with finding your accommodation, please complete the accommodation forms below and send to international@canterburycollege.ac.uk

We are always looking for warm and friendly hosts who have a spare room/s within their homes. We welcome students from all over the world for short or long stays.
Shared Student Flats/Houses
If you would rather share a student flat or house, you will be required to have a deposits, a payment for credit checks and an EU guarantor. If you don’t have an EU guarantor, you may be required to pay for the total tenancy in advance. Please note that shared student accommodation is available for durations of 6 months or more. If you would like a room only in a shared house then they become available in August 2010 onwards for the next academic year (ie to start in September 2010). If you are coming as part of a group then houses for rent become available from March 2010.
Shared student accommodation is in demand in Canterbury so please register your interest as early as possible.
Prices start from £225 per month up to approx £400 per month. We will contact you to discuss your budget and availability when you apply. Shared flat/house accommodation does not include bills.
