CTR
Canterbury Training and Recruitment (CTR) is an innovative new service offering integrated training and recruitment solutions to employers.
We fully understand that every company, regardless of size, has its own particular and individual training/recruitment needs and we endeavour to deliver a customised, high quality service to suit our customer requirements.
CTR employs experienced Business Account Managers (BAM’s) who will visit your business and conduct an Organisation Needs Analysis, which will help determine what training needs your business may have and how best to narrow any existing skills gaps.
The BAM will then be able to guide and support you through your training options including advice on how to avail of funding available in order to minimise cost to your business. Canterbury College offers a wide range of courses from basic first aid through to professional management qualifications and bespoke programmes, many of which will be free of charge to you and your employees.
Alongside training solutions CTR offers a comprehensive jobs brokerage/recruitment service. Staffed by experienced commercially aware recruitment professionals, the recruitment service is completely free of charge to employers. A placement officer will visit your business, where appropriate, in order to fully understand your recruitment needs and job specification. CTR will then advertise your vacancy, screen all applicants, conduct initial interviews (against your job specification) and present you with a shortlist of viable candidates. CTR can draw on a very wide candidate base encompassing both our traditional student base and skilled adults.
Through our partnerships with Jobcentre Plus and other organisations we are heavily involved in up-skilling and re-skilling unemployed people, giving them the qualifications, skills and confidence to get back into work. These job seekers can be trained to help fill any current staff vacancies within your organisation. With prior consultation, we may be able to customise a training package to suit your requirements, and by offering a job to someone who is currently unemployed, you may also be eligible for a subsidy to help towards their salary cost.
