In most cases the second year will be less as the exam registration has already been charged.
FEE CODE C: Level 2 entitlement
Some courses that make a contribution to National Priority Education Targets are also potentially free to students who have not yet gained a qualification at that Level - If you are aged 19+ and do not already hold a full Level 2 qualification or higher (e.g. 5 GCSEs A-C, BTEC First Diploma, Intermediate GNVQ, NVQ 2 or equivalent) you may not have to pay course fees. Guidance is available from the College.
FEE CODE D: Short courses

There is no fee remission on these courses and all students must pay the tuition fees.
FEE CODE E: Higher Education Courses:
In an effort to ensure that Higher Education courses remain accessible to as many people as possible, Canterbury College has decided to only charge the standard fee of £1,600. No full-time undergraduate student will have to pay fees up-front. Instead you can choose to take out a student loan which will be paid directly to the College on your behalf. You will not have to start repaying this until you have left Higher Education and are earning over £15000. You will also need to pay for any examination or registration fees. Your tutor will be able to advise you of these before you start your course. Please note: these fee conditions apply to home students only. Some courses may attract costs for trips, materials, equipment etc. A list of these will be given to you at interview.
If you apply for a Higher Education course and already have an HE qualification, you need to check whether you are taking an equivalent or lower qualification - The Government no longer provides funding for students who are studying at the same level, or lower than, a qualification they already hold. Students who enrol on Foundation Degrees, students with disabilities and students in receipt of the Disabled Students’ Allowance are exempt from ELQ fees.
Additional Costs
Where ‘costs’ are shown, these are usually payable once the course starts and they cover specified equipment, materials and essential trips. Further information on costs is available from your tutor. Costs are payable by everyone but financial assistance can be available to cover these costs for people or dependants of people who are on benefit or low income.
