Course Content:
Content includes: Communicating in Health and Social Care organisations,, principles of Health and Social Care Practie, Health and Safety in the workplace, personal and professional development (requires 200 hours of work experience), workin gin partnership, research project, understanding the learning process, the role of public health in Health and Social Care, Physiological principles, managing human resources, psychology, understanding specific needs, community development work, comtemporary issues in Health and Social Care, supporting Independent Living and significant life events. Canterbury College is authorised to deliver any units from the bTEC Level 5 HND in Healtha nd Social Care and therefore units may be subject to change for discreet groups in agreement with the agent or partner college.Entry Requirements:
Applicant must have the equivalent of a Level 3 qualification. International students must provide certified proof of a Level of English at IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, with no band below 5.5. Canterbur College will accept any UK Border Agency approved test equivalent to this Level.Assessment:
Assessment is by courseworkm reflective portfolios and project work.Progression:
On completion students will be prepared for a range of Health and Social Care careers and may also provide the opportunity to progress on to a BA or BSc in Health adn Social Care Management.
