Dental Nursing Advanced Level Apprenticeship - Level 3
For those employed in the Dental Nursing Sector. This course is nationally recognised by the GDC as one of the qualifying Dental Nurse qualifications. This programme also attracts part funding where a learner does not have a first level 2 programme and where the employer has less than 250 staff. Students need to be in employment at a General Dental Practice.
What will I learn?
Learn the theory at college and the practical skills in the Work place. Dental Students undertaking the advance apprenticeship route undertake a further four qualifications at Level 2; employer rights and responsibilities, English and Maths Key Skills and personal , learning and thinking skills.
How will I be assessed?
The Diploma is assessed on an ongoing basis through the year via the following assessment methods: a portfolio of evidence containing work based assessor observations, work based expert witness observations-(must be GDC and be working for at least two years within a dental practice) assignments, end unit tests, mock exams, reflective journal and an exam.

Entry Requirements:
Grades at least D in English/Maths or Functional Skills.
