Canterbury College offers a wide and exciting range of AS and A levels. We have a very successful track record with A-Level courses and each year over 150 students from the College progress to University and around 80-90% of our students choose to progress to Higher Education/ University. As part of the A Level Tutorial Programme, students will be supported through the UCAS application process and encouraged to progress. We also support all our students in tasks such as CV writing and completing application forms.
AS Level course requirements.
5 GCSEs at C or above in appropriate subjects including at least English. Applicants who have a GNVQ Intermediate or First Diploma should have a Distinction. At Pass or Merit grade it will be subject to interview and additional qualifications achieved. In addition to these general requirements all subjects have individual requirements. Call our Information Centre on 01227 811188 for details. Students will normally take 3 or 4 AS subjects in Year 1, and 3 Advanced GCEs in the second year.
Please note that these AS / A-Levels are designed as full-time courses.
Students are able to study a programme of 3-4 subjects alongside our Functional Skills and Tutorial programme. Some subjects can also be studied in the evening or during the day with our full-time students. View our Part-time courses.
