Graphic Design - AS Level
On this course students will investigate a range of graphic communication. They will explore several specialisms within graphic communications such as Typography, Illustration, Advertising, Packaging, Multimedia and Design for Print.
What will I learn?
Students will experiment with the formal elements such as colour, shape, text, image and composition and explore a wide range of image making techniques such as drawing, collage, photography, digital manipulation and printmaking. Students will also research other artists and designers from european and non-european countries and be expected to critically analyse these works in relation to their own.
How will I be assessed?
Through a mixture of practical assessments, written assignments and examinations.
What may it lead to?
A Level Graphic Design.
Entry Requirements:
You must have 5 GCSEs (A*-C), English (C) and Art (C) or Portfolio.
