Art and Design BTEC Subsidiary Diploma - Level 3
A chance to develop your skills through various art & design specialised workshops and extended projects.
What will I learn?
This is a broad based general Art & Design course that enables students who are not yet ready to commit to a full 2 year Extended Diploma, the opportunity to develop and build their skills at Level 3. Successful students will be able to study for a further year in order to gain a full Extended Diploma and progress to Higher Education if they wish.
How will I be assessed?
Through a programme of observation, assigments, one to one tutorials, group critical discussions, self-evaluation and exhibitions of your work.
What may it lead to?
After a successful completion of the Subsidiary Award, students can continue for another year and complete a BTEC Extended Diploma and progress to Higher Education if they wish.
Entry Requirements:
A BTEC First Diploma in Art & Design subjects, 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including an art-related subject, and preferably English. A good portfolio of varied artwork is essential for interview.
