Art and Design BTEC Diploma - Level 2
An introduction to a variety of art and design activities, this course will develop your knowledge, practical skills and understanding of the subject. We will help you discover your strengths and interests so that you can decide on the best way to progress. You will have the opportunity to participate in a competitive commission, and take part in exciting live projects.
What will I learn?
Painting, sculpture, printmaking, 3D and product design, ceramics, textiles, graphics, functional skills, contextual work.
How will I be assessed?
Through a programme of creative assignments, one to one tutorials, group critical discussions and self-evaluation.
What may it lead to?
BTEC Level 3 Diplomas in Art or Graphic Design or equivalent. Some students go straight into employment, in areas such as graphic design and advertising, museum or gallery work.
Entry Requirements:
2 GCSEs at D (preferably English & Art) plus a portfolio of observational drawings & artwork.
