Hair Services (Barbering) Diploma Level 2

This course will give you knowledge and practical experience to work as a hairdresser. You will learn how to cut hair, how to colour and lighten, plaiting and twisting, scalp massage, and more.

What will I learn?

Health and Safety practice in the salon, Client consultation for hair services, Shampoo and Condition the hair and scalp, Promote products and services to clients in a salon, Cut women's hair, Colour and lighten hair, Cut men's hair, scalp massage, Plaiting and Twisting hair, Working in the hair industry, The art of dressing hair.

How will I be assessed?

Practical observation, written assignments and oral questioning throughout the course and online exams.

What may it lead to?

You can progress onto a Level 3 Hairdressing or Beauty Therapy course or gain employment in the beauty industry.

Entry Requirements

4 Ds or 3s including English and maths or a relevant full level 1.

Additional Information & Other Costs

Students will work in the College's commercial salon and must provide models for assessment purposes.
