On Friday 15th June, CSVA held a private viewing of their new End of Year Show space in Canterbury’s Town Centre, which is now open for public viewing until 22nd June.
Level 1 and 2 students displayed their artwork throughout the palette gallery and the three floors above for parents and friends to view the hard work that has gone into crafting a variety of art pieces. Following a wine reception and canapés, guests were able to marvel at the display created by both students and staff.
Ben Kidger, Head of CSVA, spoke to the crowd of visitors, announcing the following part of the evening, which was to take place at 35 Pound Lane, where Level 3 students had worked to create a space to display their artwork. Guests headed down to the second venue following congratulatory speeches, as students were awarded for their high-quality Level 1 and Level 2 work.
At the second venue, a range of work from Graphic Design, Photography and Art & Design students is showcased. Students had worked to renovate the space by clearing the outside area and painting the internal walls black, making their work pop.
The Level 3 students had really taken the time to make this venue their own. Spread across two floors and six rooms, the art pieces range from framed pictures to sculptures, Perspex prints, fashion items and even audio pieces. A professional space to display Level 3 Students’ high-class artwork.
Following a successful celebration, this space is now open to the public from 10am to 5pm daily, until 22nd of June. You can find more information here. Drop in to discover the wide range of skills CSVA’s students have displayed in a space they have crafted for themselves.
