Canterbury College Theatrical Makeup student Lacy Mardle has beaten back fierce competition from 200 competitors across the UK to make it to the final six of the Jane Iredale National makeup competition.
Lacy, who studies Theatrical Special Effects Hair & Media Make Up Diploma Level 3, submitted her piece which was based on the themes of 'Animals on earth and beyond'. She drew inspiration from the Roman Goddess Venus which encompassed love, beauty, desire, fertility, prosperity and victory, as well as the deer.
Her piece of work was successful in winning her a place in the final, where she will have the opportunity to showcase the impressive design using the Jane Iredale product line. Her model will then walk the runway and her work will be judged by a panel of beauty experts.
Lacy is looking forward to the competition, saying that she's very proud of making it through to the final six.
She said: "I feel super excited and a little overwhelmed. This is by far one of my biggest achievements and makes me even more determined to follow my dreams."
