Tailored Group Partnership Case Study

Partner: Lycée des metiers Henri Senez (from Hénin-Beaumont, northern France)

Programme: International Work Experience

Visiting students spend the first week here developing their English language skills. They then go on work placement for three weeks, in areas such as administration, motor vehicle repair, retail and catering.

The students' time here is intended to improve their English language, develop their understanding of British culture and boost their prospects for employment. They can put their English into practice during the work placement and with their host families. They can also make the most of Canterbury College’s facilities which may not be available to them back in France.

The partnership between Canterbury College and Lycée des metiers Henri Senez has been running since early 2014 and is funded by the EU’s European Social Fund (ESF).
