Facilities

The Centre has a maximum of 28 children at any one time.

The Rooms


Caterpillar Room

The Caterpillar Room, for 2 to 3 year olds, is presently using one main activity room which is divided up into all of the areas of learning.

Butterfly Room

The Butterfly Room, for 3 to 5 year olds, is made up of two main activity rooms, both of which are joined by a smaller quiet room housing the book area and IT resources, floor puzzles and construction toys.

Ladybird Room

The Ladybird Room is used as a lunch room by 3 to 5 year olds.

There is also an interactive whiteboard in this room which, with support, will be used to provide educational games and interactive opportunities.

Leaf Room

At the end of the day all children have tea together to give them an opportunity to develop their social skills as well as their communication and language skills.

Sleep Room

There is a separate Sleep Room for those who need to sleep or rest after lunch. The Room is fully monitored and visible to staff.

Outdoor Area

The Centre has an enclosed and partly covered Outdoor Area for play`

The Children's Centre provides equipment and resources to cover the six areas of learning. The Centre uses the ECERS as a guide to evaluate the environment.
