Introduction

The Children's Centre is a purpose built Day Nursery situated on the outskirts of Canterbury within the grounds of Canterbury College.

The Centre was built in 2005 and being based in the College we normally provide facilities for students and staff but also community members.

About the staff

The Centre is managed by Debra Ashley and she is supported by 5 staff in the Centre throughout each day.

About the Rooms

Our Centre caters for children between 2 and 5 years old and we can manage 28 children.

The Centre consists of 2 group rooms; Caterpillar and Butterfly Room, Ladybird, Leaf and quiet rooms.

• Caterpillar Room caters for 2 to 3 years olds and a maximum of 8 children.
• Butterfly Room caters for 3 to 5 year olds and a maximum of 16 children.

Group Play

We encourage group activities for all age groups at the end of the day. All children are encouraged to havea common goal of caring and keeping each other safe.

More challenging and extended activities are provided for the older children, along with adult led activity.
