Students help raise money for charity
Canterbury College was a buzz when everyone
turned out in force on Friday 28 September for the Macmillan Cancer Relief
coffee morning.
Students
and staff flocked to The Beretun; the College’s training restaurant where the
event took place. On sale were biscuits, doughnuts, profiteroles,
rock cakes and brioche, all of which had been handmade by Professional Chef and
Catering students especially for the fundraising morning.
As guests took to their seats, a small army of Professional Catering students was on hand to take orders and serve the delicious pastries.
The event raised £100 through sales, donations and the raffling of a beautiful bouquet of flowers, created by the floristry department
