Students Benefit from Careers Discovery Day
Over twenty employers and a number of higher education institutions attended a special event at Canterbury College to tell students more about what is available to them once they have finished their course.
A special Careers Discovery Day was staged in the main Street area of the Campus on New Dover Road to showcase options available to all students, whether it’s progressing to Higher Education or finding out how to get their dream job.
Representatives from companies and organisations, including Kent Police, Wates Construction, Connexions Kent and Medway and Heart radio station, were available to offer information and advice.
Mark Hill, Director of Business Development and Associated Services, said: “We will have thousands of students from the College completing courses in just a few weeks. It’s really important that we not only provide them with fantastic learning facilities while they are here, but also guidance on what they can go on to do in the future.”
Careers Discovery Day takes place twice a year – for more information on Open Days and other Events at Canterbury College, visit our events pages.
