Do you want to make your New Year a Fresh Start?
January is traditionally a time for making New Year resolutions – and they range from health to finances.
Canterbury College is giving you the chance to make a special resolution for 2011 and enhance your knowledge, start a hobby or gain new skills.
A range of courses at Canterbury College have been made available from January – whether you want to transfer from school, haven’t found the job you were hoping for after finishing your GCSE’s, or want to get back into education after a break.
There are more than 30 courses available, including:
- Introduction to Graphic Design – Level 1
- Music Technology (Recording) – Level 1
- Engineering BTEC Award – Level 2
- Hospitality NVQ Certificate – Level 1
- Floristry Certificate – Level 1
- Nail Art Certificate – Level 1
- Introduction to Teaching & Learning Support – Level 2

Courses at the Sheppey Campus of Canterbury College in Sheerness have been made available from January – whether you want to transfer from school, haven’t found the job you were hoping for after finishing your GCSE’s, or want to get back into education after a break.
New students can now enrol for:
Independent Learning and Leisure- Level Up (a course to help students gain experience to returning to study)
- Pathway to the Trades (an introduction to the building trades)
- Digital Creator – Level 2 (a course which looks at websites and other digital aspects of computers-up to GCSE A*-C grade equivalent)
Philip Wicker, Head of Sheppey Campus, said: “The College is really interested in meeting local needs and I am certain that starting courses in the middle of the school/college year is an excellent way to help people back into learning without having to wait until next September.” Philip added: “The College is well set up to provide expert advice to students about their next steps. All you need to do is to ring and find out more. We are here to help”.
