Students and staff at Canterbury College have been taking part in a range of events to raise money for this year’s Comic Relief.
While red noses and red lollipops were on sale at the campus on New Dover Road in Canterbury, there was also sponsored leg waxing, guess the staff from their baby pictures competition, karaoke and performances by Glee Club and Dance students.
More than £850 has been collected for the charity, which is double the amount that was raised last year.
At the Sheppey Campus of Canterbury College students collected just over £100. The Diploma in Administration Level 1 students used the event as part of their coursework – Working as a Team.
They ran a raffle, sold cakes, as well as having a ‘Guess What’s in the Box’ competition – which certainly lived up to the Comic Relief slogan of “Do Something Funny for Money”.
