Laura Mellin, 19 from Hawkinge, was delighted when she found out she had been awarded a B for her English A2. It was a real achievement as Laura was left partially sighted after contracting a virus, she missed four years of school and was confined to a wheelchair until she learned to walk again using crutches.

Sam Peacock, 17 from Ramsgate, who received her AS level grades was very modest after getting three As in Law, English and Psychology and a B in Maths. She said, “I’m quite happy but I could have done better.” She added, “I’ll continue with them next year after that I’d like to study Law then become a barrister.”

Lyn Brown, Director of Further Education said, “The College is delighted with the success of its A’level students. We had more students taking A’ levels this year and 19 of our A’ level pogrammes achieved 100%.”
